it wasn't samaras we were booing it was you

Im sorry Neil but it was you we were booing for nieve tactics you displayed last night. One striker upfront against a very average team, and not the striker who is our top goalscorer, no no he was playing on the left midfield as our first choice left midfielder was playing on the right!

Not only that when we were needing a goal you take off our top goalscorer and bring on maloney, and when we were desperate for a goal we take off our only striker in Samaras and put on a winger!!

You played the exact same tactics against Aberdeen and it didn't work we were very lucky to get the win after a poor display that day but somehow you thought it was tactical excellence.

Keep it simple, play players in their best positions, play the formation and tactics that indeed brought the thunder back and we will win the second leg.

I still love Lennon and know hes the right man but he's got to learn from these mistakes.

Hail Hail

King Billy

Agree M8 i have said this on another post, playing our best player out of position is mad, for god sake Stokes is our on form striker and he stickes him out wide ???

Plays commons the wrong side again, agree 100% Lennon needs to learn beacuse if we go out of europe next week then for me preasure is going to be on Lennon not just to win the league but the trebble.

But Scottish football last night took a battering which I hate to see, FFS lets show some fight and prove that we are not as bad as every english mouth is making out

king:

please listin to lennys interview on bbc website

we had to match formation as there midfield was getting through us and needed a 3 man centre mid

i think we should have on hindsight put paddy wide left commons wide right with stokes up front alone

but its easy to say what we should have done after the result

face facts our squad is not as good as it once was

if you take our 4 best players izzy kayal hooper and k wilson then we are average the sooner you see this the better mate

fully fit we would have won last night no question

Bhoy67,

We had to match them as they were getting through us..... we started that way before a ball was kicked it was his tactic pre kickoff.

As for being an average team when missing our top 4 players........ we were playing at home against a team who are worse than us, and who had half a team who havent played together.

We deserve better and as Jinky says if we fail to win away Lennon has put huge pressure on his shoulders.

why would you have commons on the right? he's not good there.

Question Stokes is our on form Striker and top scorer so far so he plays him out wide

Sam is not match fit and sorry apart from his goals agains t Rangers last season, he has done nothing, lennon said he brings allot to the team???? sorry I am lost there what does he bring apart from making my blood boil.

You say four of our best players are out and agree we missed them, but I bet if they were fit lennon would have still played the same formation.

Now if we get knocked out next week who do you think will to be blame ?

"I still love Lennon"

But you booed him?

sammy runs channels and drags defenders out of position yes he is frustrating and stokes out wide did not help

lennon had to goto 3man midfield and kayal was huge loss in there

it showed me last night that gary hooper is our best striker stokes may score goals but hoopers running wins him space

big miss but he should be fit for next thurs

i did not boo anyone last night i was not happy when stokes went off it should have been sammy

the free kick maloney almoast scored was perfect for stokes ...

bhoy67, What you say in this bit there is what obviously should've been done. I am a big fan of Lenny but he needs to recognise the obvious that plebs like you and me can see.

Samaras is a write off, when you need him most he usually lets you down. McCourt has shown form for N Ireland admittedly against The Faroe Islands but Lenny needs to trust his instincts and recognise that he needs to play the form player (McCourt) instead of reverting to using a player who worked out once for him (Samaras v Rangers last Jan) but generally fails to deliver. WTF do we have to do to get rid of Samaras?

As it happens I still think we can go through. Lenny might start Samaras next week and in an away leg he could be the match winner. But I'm sick of Samaras and I'm sick of saying we need to get rid of him because he simply can not be trusted to deliver on a regular basis. The boos ringing in Lenny's ears last night will after his ridiculous decision to pull Stokes and leave Samaras on will surely sink in. Lenny has a lot of credit in the bank with Celtic fans but he needs to cop on to some obvious things fairly quick. FFS dump Samaras. If Lenny fails to see this obvious first step decision he will fail as the Celtic manager.
