They know we are really interested in Shaw and won't accept our first bid. They'll try and get as much for him as they can as I can't see Shaw disrespecting Saints and forcing a move as he doesn't seem that kind of guy.

I'm not so sure. If no-one else is bidding, they won't want to miss out on such a big fee.

City paid £24 million for Lescott, so that should make you feel better about the fee for Shaw.
