Nobody Has Considered The Unthinkable

I think all of us, myself included are guilty of assuming we have this cup in the bag. I'd rather call it ultimate faith and belief rather than ignorance. I'm a true believer in blessing yourself with positivity for it to take effect. For example Jose, Rodgers & Gerrard all dismissing their chances of being champions even when it was in their hands resulted in them ending up with what they cursed themselves with. City were the only ones that didn't dismiss their own chances even after they lost to Liverpool and that faith and positivity was repaid by the Lord.

Anyhoooooooooo. Of course zis is a cup final where anything can happen which is the beauty of the cup as they say.... and while we all assume that we'll win, Wenger becomes a new inspired man as well as the squad, we move into summer and make some strong additions get everyone fit then 'we go again' next season with no SLIP UPS there is the flip side where we somehow lose this cup final and could see our greatest manager forced out because surely he won't survive the wrath of unsatisfied gooners this time around believe me. It would mean it's another 'top 4' season with not much else to show for it, unless we parade Liverpool's progression trophy which is very slight in our case

The man would have no choice but to walk I reckon and we could end up having the messiest summer we've had in the past couple of decades if the unthinkable in fact does come to past there could be real drama. It would 100% prove Wenger to be incapable of winning silverware, certainly with Arsenal anyway and my mind will no doubt be made up and I'm sure many other also will. I'd love to believe Birmingham was a freak game. This board will be the latest world war with Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, United and other supporters swarming about.

Not trying to be a killjoy but put into perspective the messy scenario we could find ourselves in if all doesn't go to plan on the day

It's all irrelevant because we WILL win though

Forget who Hull is and remember who we are. We are a team who wins trophies. Never doubt that.

Actually, in the entire history of the club, we've won on average 1 major trophy (not including league cup or charity shield in that) every 5.1 years.

I haven't worked it out for Chelsea, be interesting to see how it measures up.

I've done it for you now - it's 1 every 6.8 years. You are catching up I suppose.

It is impossible to disagree with the article's title. Nobody has considered the unthinkable. It can't be dobe. This title is the best philosophical statement I've seen in ages, and 'to attempt to consider the unthinkable' would be a great inducer of a meditative state.
