Bahrain and Barcelona

Two races this season where we have seen excellent battles between Hamilton and Rosberg with Hamilton able to hold off his team mate in a quicker package to win both races. I’ve just been thinking and whilst a lot of people have praised the drives, very few have highlighted that not only was Rosberg’s package quicker, he was on faster tyres as well.

In Bahrain, there was up to half a second between both tyres and in Spain, initially it was thought to be roughly 8 tenths although this reduced in the race.

I am not one to bang the fan boy drum but all things considered, those were superb drives from Hamilton. Not only was he able to keep a faster team mate behind, he did it with much slower tyres. No wonder people compare Hamilton to Senna. His performance was Sennaesque!

On a separate note, please join our race prediction game at zdkf1.com. We have had a decent start to the season but need to keep the momentum.
Roll on Monaco! Ricciardo for the win!

I don't understand the reason for even trying. Still trying to work out why a single members opinion is the be all and end all on this forum

come on now bw just because i occasionally see F1 different to the more patriotic people on here ( i am semi asian by the way )and some of my opinions on here dont run exactly parallel with yours sometimes does not mean that those opinions are without some merit

So what exactly is your suggested way forward then?

Well WTBCU, its not really for me to say, but I'll leave you with a thought.

If you believe someone is simply craving attention, trying to get a reaction, laughing at others when jump on their literally bait should you:

a) Spend several years giving that person the satisfaction
b) Not give a reaction which requires zero effort.

Opinions are acceptable in all forms whether backed up or not. However we are on a debate forum, where opinions are discussed, so i would expect a reasonable amount of justification to somebodies opinion.

Justification can come from, statistical evidence. Has its merits, but i always run on the rule, stats dont answer questions, they ask questions.

Peer review - by that i mean, taking an in depth look as to how peoples opinions are generated. Particularly taking note to those opinions considered educated.

Now.... all that considered, irrespective of his nationality, lewis hamilton is brilliant

Stats back it up - Number of Wins, number of poles, fastest laps, WDC, current standing

Opinions from fellow drivers - Alonso refers to him as his biggest rival.

Opinions from considered experts - His employers pay him circa £27m a year to do his job. They continue to pay him.

However your backup seems to be....correct me if i am wrong. He has underachieved in what was considered the best car.

Now, think about that, if he has underachieved in the best car, you must believe he has ability. Becuase if i drove that Mclaren, i would be behind Max Chilton, becuase i have no ability. What you are essentially saying is, his ability and that car, he should of done better. You do acknowledge ability

However, you believe we rate him so highly....because he is English. Now this cannot be disproved, except for the fact, Jenson Button, who is english is regularly slated for not being good enough. Alonso who is spanish, is regularly lauded for his brilliant ability. Vettel is german (the arch enemy no less) and is regularly respected for his achievements so far.

So in summary, you are entitled to your opinion, i respect that, however you are not entitled to my respect of that opinion. As it doesnt stack up

Martial thinks people on the forum hate Vettel and support Hamilton because they are british.

I have also been accused of the same. I ma half italian and the only British driver I rate on the grid is Hamilton.

I do not see nationalities in motorsport, I appreciate talent. Raw pace and race craft (Hamilton) to technical ability and car development (Schumacher) to the all rounder (Alonso).

I am still on the fence with Vettel

man devil

come on now manx lets not exaggerate , i have never suggested anybody on any forum "hates " any driver let alone vettel or whoever ,

however -------------- it does not take somebody with the intelligence of albert einstein to savvy out that english sports forums are very patriotic towards english sportsman and of course there is nothing wrong with being patriotic -
--------------- ask all the silly bast/ards who are going to attach a union jack to every orifice of there cars during the world cup

posted on 27/5/14

Martial, there is no GBR team at the world cup, so no one flies a union jack

whatever team it is alot of silly bas/tards in this country will have some kind of flag dangling out of there motors , house windows , front gardens , flower beds , on top of there roof and fluck knows where else to signify they are supporting england -

------------------------ and when england fly back home with there bollox handed to them in a kebab after a few days all the silly bas/tards will have to take all there flags down
