Man City fined 16 million quid, with a further 32million 'suspended'
And squad restrictions next season, and a 49 million 'cap' on what they can spend on new players
& they probably don't give a sheet.. business as usual ?
(maybe demote them to Conference - similar to what happened to FC Halifax for financial irregularities )
These daft obscene wages have to stop.
How ? Dunno.
Is there any point in trying to gain promotion to compete with these conglomerates ? because it would seem unless you can draw 40,000 + on a regular basis season after season, Debt becomes the outcome no matter what, then a slide down the leagues becomes inevitable after a brief season(s) in the top flight.
Then years of 'nothing' and no way back for decades there after..
Huddersfield.
Bradford.
Barnsley,
Leeds.
Portsmouth.
Wimbledon
Oldham.
Coventry......to name a few.
Maybe wages in relation to gate receipts .....players worth what they attract through the turnstiles ! like 'piece workers'..What's the difference ,
That would go some way to stop the accumulation of these insane debts & 25 quid admissions.
Have they CHEATED ?

Man City blatantly ignored the ruling, they should be demoted to the Championship and Town to take their place! 👍

The trouble is, the Premier League are more powerful than EUFA...and certainly the FA. They could break away and form their own Union, have their own competitions and make their own rules...and keep more of their ill-gotten gains form SKYTV. EUFA are trying to rein them in but it won't work..
We've had debates before on this, and tbh it might well be better if the Prem League created theri own European league and left the rest of us to compete on a more level playing field (so to speak...).
The rippling effect of the obscene wealth of the Prem is damaging competition in the Championship (with parachute payments) and now looking at having B teams in the lower leagues too. There is no end to their greed..so let them leave I say and let's have some sanity back in the English game..
Clubs like Man City are global enterprises, and the EPL is getting too small for them to promote their global brand..EUFA haven't a cat in hells chance of controlling them, it's more like the Prem will take over EUFA..
The whole notion of trying to cap what clubs spend on players is a flawed strategy anyway..if clubs have wealthy owners then why shouldn't they spend their money ? It's like capitalism where the wealthy always float to the top, you can't stop it...it's driven by greed.

Arsene-al Wenger offered new 3 year deal..of 7.5 mill !
Wonder how the 'negotiations' went
= 70,754 quid a week ..
or 6,849 quid a day..every day...No such thing as a day off when you're a premier league manager

Thing is, whilst City have broken rules of a system they agreed to, and for that they should face sanctions, wasn't FFP introduced to reduce the chance of seeing increased Rangers and Portsmouth type scenarios? Clubs like City & PSG aren't in any such bracket therefore to me it all seems a bit nonsensical.
I won't criticise Man City's business model bit though. Their current academy project is jaw-droppingly amazing and if none of you have seen what they're doing I suggest you check it out. They obviously had to spend vast amounts initially to bring in the kind of players needed to win titles but there is no doubt they are a club looking not only to become self-sustainable, but also to improve the wider community in which they're situated.
I don't get the general hate for Man City. Imagine having to have lived in that city for the past twenty years supporting the blue half whilst your rivals clean up every year and their fans rub it in your face every bloody Monday morning. Awful. Yet they stayed loyal and even pulled in 30,000 every week in League 1. I'd say they deserve a bit of luck for a change, good for them.
