Fishguard Sports 2 v 2 Salisbury City
Goals (Assist)
Fishguard - Klaassen (Fischer)
Salisbury - Garay (Taarabt - corner)
Salisbury - Toure (Penalty)
Fishguard - Thomas (Blind)
MOTM : Davy Klaassen (at the heart of everything attacking wise for
Fishguard and scored a lovely goal)
Two good sets of tactics for this game. Both read very easily and it
was obvious what both teams planned to do. Two teams with very differing styles but both getting the best out of the players and the formations chosen.
I liked Welshy's tweak of the tactics this week - he really made the most of(imo) the players available to him. I really like this set up for Fishguard and on another day the 3 points would have been theirs. Still a very young squad but heaps of potential and still young enough to play with a carefree attitude.
Salisbury on the other hand have a lot of experience in the squad and did enough to grind out the draw without actually threatening too much. Both goals coming from set pieces.
I'm not such a big fan of a 'flat midfield 3' - but what do I know
2 good teams who are always hard to beat would be my final word on the matter

where i mention subs, of course other teams may have brought on subs but they did so regardless of if they were winning or losing at the time - so they will have that record on their tactics

Okay so I admit I was going to do this result last night, but the thought of reading through Leiva’s standard 10,000 word tactics at 12.30am would have probably killed me off.
However, Leiva pulled something out of the hat here and not only in terms of reduced tactics Pride was clearly expecting more of the usual from the Lions… but instead we got some devastating attacking football from the South African and hence we have our first 2 goal gap score line
When FC Pride changed their formation and tactics in the 2nd half they came right back into the game, and certainly played their part in this classic. But one half of BFF has some explaining to do on Monday morning

Taiwan 1-2 Colchester United
Goals (Assists)
Colchester United – Ramos (Volland)
Taiwan – Drmic (Di Natale)
Colchester United – Gerrard (Free Kick)
MOTM – Cahill (Colchester United)
I find Ludy’s tactics a good example of a team that defends and attacks in equal balance, mixing low risk with the willingness to play clinical offensive play.
Whilst with Lubo not only have we seen a vast improvement in quality of tactics but also the confidence to vary his tactics. Good show
Whilst I’ve previously reported that Taiwan are possibly the most underated team in the league, Colchester United are without doubt one of the biggest surprise packages.

Southend United 0-0 Blyth Spartans
MOTM – Vlaar (Blyth Spartans)
For me, as soon as I saw the tactics I instantly knew that it was so much about Sturridge v Vlaar.
It says much about Vlaar’s performance that the Dream League’s top scorer did not add to his account.
