Martinez/Benzema, Giroud and Remy is imo very good with a young Sanagoo waiting in the wings.

How many headed goals does giroud actually score?

Have you guys seen Remy play on the wing for Newcastle? Been crap.

The point wasn't about goals Castor. He should score more to be fair, but its not exactly the kind of service we offer him.

Essentially Arsenal's attacking game lends itself to forward players making runs in the offensive third.

Having Walcott and (to a degree) AOC out of the team for extended periods exposed the lack of pace in those areas (at times).

A player like Ozil and to a lesser degree Wilshere, will always be looking for 'runners' and 9 times out of 10 they'll find them, such is their passing ability.

Giroud is a great option and has done well this season (imo) but his style doesn't fit Arsenal's game 'hand in glove'.

Whoever Wenger and the board decide to go for striker wise, ideally they'll need to have pace and natural instincts to make intelligent runs off of the ball.

Competent striker, however not quality Champions League or Premiership Champion material.

I'm not suggesting that Remy is a bad player but imo he's not the player we should be looking for up front.

We need to be getting a top quality striker who would push Giroud to the number 2 slot and Sanogo into 3rd choice, not someone who would be competing with Sanogo to be 2nd choice
