Even if this turns out to be true, what is so "classless" about letting a 36 yr old player go on to other pastures before he retires from the game?

Lampard has had a fantastic career with Chelsea, been one of the best players in the Prem for many a year, but eventually all players must leave a club.

In fact, Lamps had already said (via the Chelsea website) he's relaxed with the idea of waiting until after the WC to decide on his future with Chelsea. So this article is paranoid, bitter drivel.
