The good old days

When I were a lad....

For the two people so bored they are still reading after that Inauspicious start......

I used to focus on the football, did reserve x deserve a chance, what was the form of our next visitors, how to get to a game in London when I was working, how would a new signing turn out

The true legacy of the last many ownership regimes - going back well before Bates - is that Leeds fans have turned Into amateur business analysts. It's very frustrating as none of us have real facts. Was just reading an utterly pointless exchange between two posters, one saying we should sack half the workforce, the other that 20k a year employees could not be the problem and anyway we only have x employees and that's no more than most championship clubs blah blah blah .... It's all utter t o s s as none of us have the info from the inside

My hope for the next era is we soon forget about the resourcing of the club shop and start thinking about relegating the debt-burdened s c u m like the good old days

The good ol days was when you stood in the Kop/Southstand/Low Fields singing the player's names, singing to find if the "Bramley Whites" were there,(yep, I was an out off towny that didn't seem to bother any off us in them days!)and jumping about and having a laugh!..

These days, the sitting has taken a lot away, player's don't have the passion that deserve a mention, and the internetty thingy has taken the debate out off the football talk!..

Oh, and it was fun trying to get the West and East stands to join in, sometimes we had a bit off success but not every!.

It was better back then and the fun isn't what it used to be!.

On that point, apart from Millwall away my worst moment was cup game at Udders. After game looked up to see 50 Leeds fans running at me, fortunately went past me to kick &&&& out of some Udders fans

Its alright, I got beat up by such cowards, Leeds v Everton, New Year game called off for bad Weather!..

That stairway by the Station leading down towards the Scarborough pub, came out off there and crossing the road with a mate, I had one of them Blue scaves with the Yellow and White stripes, and from the other side off the road came 5/6 bods and one shouted Everton fans, came running over and said, oh no, Leeds fans, at that one said, so what I want your scarfe, I said no way, and a fist made contact with my face, two or three clouts later he snatched my scarf and two others I had with me!..

Ran in another direction!..

Me and me mate went back up to the station, decided to go home and stuff the drink we were going to have, and a copper stopped us and ask what the blood was, ain't it a shame that while he was talking to me the Andy Pandy boot boys from York showed their faces!..

Good I could prove the scarves were mine, I think two got Community Service and I got my scarves back!..

Ya never know, maybe we know each other from here, I'm the bod that the bods more than likely wouldn't have had the nerve to take my scarfe if the numbers had been even!..

It was always hazardous to your health whenever we went "effing mental" after a goal. But, a belting laugh.
