"In Mauricio I believe we have a Head Coach who, with his high energy, attacking football, will embrace the style of play we associate with our Club. He has a proven ability to develop each player as an individual, whilst building great team spirit and a winning mentality."
"We have a talented squad that Mauricio is excited to be coaching next season."
Speaking on his appointment, Mauricio Pochettino said:
"This is a Club with tremendous history and prestige and I am honoured to have been given this opportunity to be its Head Coach."
"There is an abundance of top-class talent at the Club and I am looking forward to starting work with the squad."
"Tottenham Hotspur has a huge following across the world and I have great admiration for the passion the fans show for this team. We are determined to give the supporters the kind of attacking football and success that we are all looking to achieve."

How is Levy still there?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's made us the richest club outside the CL. He's not perfect but we are well run spend millions within our means with a stadium in the pipeline.

Levy says that about every head coach he appoints and then boooooooom, the bubble bursts.

The interesting bit for me is the emphasis on attacking football, clearly AVB has left his mark on Levy.
I think he's got this one right.. we're not in the market for "guaranteed success" managers like Ancelotti. If he lasts more than 2 seasons he'll be doing well, as will most of the managers in the league

Something daft would have to happen for us to go backwards and drop out of top 6. Anything else in first season should be considered a bonus,

Imo, every new manager should be allowed an initial season of transition, especially when bringing in a different approach. Even if you might have the right players, you have to allow a bit of time for the new man's methods to sink in. If it produces immediate results, then that's a bonus, but dropping out of the top 6 shouldn't necessarily be viewed as a failure if the signs are in place that things are getting better. In other words, it might be a rough ride to begin with, and a poor first half of the season could badly damage top 6 hopes, but if the team's looking good by the end of the season then you'll have achieved what you set out to do.
Football's become far too short-termist for many clubs' own good.
