FIFA really get on my nerves and are guilty of massive double standards here. Apparently red's not enough of a contrast to BLUE so Spain and Adidas have to design and make a new kit in two weeks, as opposed to Spain wearing their black away kit, and Holland wearing their orange home kit.
Yet when England wanted to wear their red away kit against Uruguay FIFA said no, because the officials are scheduled to wear red! This despite the fact that white and light blue is much less of a contrast that red and royal blue!!
The sooner Blatter and his cronies retire the better. Although then we''ll probably end up with Platini. Christ...
FIFA order Spain to make a new kit

Robert pan Versie #20 (U1145) - The red of spain and the blue away of Holland are sufficiently different coloured kits. If you cannot tell the difference you need eyes testing.
This just sounds like nitpicking from FIFA. They allow corruption, turn a blind eye to workers building stadiums in Qatar being treated as slaves, but on no, red and blue might be similar.
And as Mumbai Madge has said they could have told Holland to wear orange and Spain could have wore their black kit.

When these rules are made, they're usually there for a valid reason.
Whatever you think about FIFA and it's delegates, they're not tards

I need to rephrase my original comment. The regulation is being applied stupidly.

If they were told to make one "dark" and one "light" and then haven't, it's their own stupid fault. Dark Red and Dark Blue are both fecking dark!
I seem to recall this happening, with Spain, at the last Euro or WC too. I may be wrong though...?

The reason that this rule exists is for the benefit of th evisually impaired.
Forget for one moment how you personally perceive the RED and BLUE kits in question, and consider that if you were to desaturate them (remove the hue/colour) they would probably be a very similar shade of grey.
Whilst this may or may not affect you, there are some football fans out there who, if this rule didnt exist, may very well be left seeing 20 players (goalkeepers excluded) who all look like they're wearing the same kit.

5th they could easily have Holland wear home and Spain away. The real question is if Adidas had the red as the ' light' kit as its bright red.
Either way I am sticking to it being applied stupidly. From my understanding those shades of red and blue will not cause such an effect to visually impaired. If you can prove me wrong I will change my mind.
