Englands top order

Right now.. in all formats is bleeding useless. Infact they haven't been great for along while.
getting sick of the lack of taking responcibility..Apart from a good ashes series at home (and he was great no doubting that). Ian bell as done nothing in the last 3 years.. Cook looks shot to pieces.. We all know about Trott. Hmm big problems currently.
Dunno who will open in the tests with cook either.

Cook has been affected by the captaincy burden. he must open his eyes wide open to realise this, otherwise by the end of the summer, it would be a case of whether he deserves to be in the squad, let alone his captaincy.

When you have a really good inform batsman, the last thing you want is him overburdened with captaincy. He managed it well against India in India in his first test series, but after that he has struggled big time. Over 20 test innings + all other matches he has played. He is running out of time now.

Afaik, england top order has always been like this, infact england team as a whole were always agricultural, robotic and factory produced, except some occassional foreiegn brilliancy such as pietersen and morgan.
I think the cricketing culture as whole is different in England. They play cricket like its a day job, no fun watching them.

Really do not know why alex hales does not play for the 50 over team and what has ali done wrong? Surely he would be better at 3 than ballance and he could be the spin option so they could drop tredwell and pick broad and have that attacking bowler option in the middle overs they were banging on about in the sky commentary box yesterday. My team cook hales ali bell morgan butler bopara stokes jordan broad anderson

Robson will open in tests this summer.

One day and T20 openers not good enough.

Hales must play 50 overs and Vince must play.

Test:

Cook, Robson, Root, Bell, Vince, Stokes, Prior wk, Jordan, Broad, Kerrigan, Anderson

One Day

Hales, Bell, Vince, Root, Morgan, Buttler wk, Stokes, Jordan, Finn, Briggs, Gurney

T20

Hales, Vince, Root, Morgan, Buttler wk, Ballance, Bopara, Jordan, Finn, Briggs, Topley

Briggs at the moment is our best one day spinner and needs a run. Kerrigan our best longer format spinner.

Andersons fitness worries me as does Broads. I would leave them both to focus on Test cricket - harsh but priorities.
