City fan here Just want to show my respects to big Frank.

Amazing player who i've always admired and to top it off hes such a grounded nice bloke.

Genuine legend in the game, especially in the mid 00s when i think the Prem was at its peak and he had a big role to play in that.

Hopefully he scores an important goal at the WC to cap off an amazing career

Excellent player. Never ever failed to deliver for his club, the mos efficient and clinical attacking midfielder I've seen play. Moulded his game brilliantly and has achieved legendary status as a goal scoring midfield player. Don't think there's ever been a better one.

That pic was in the Times dated 2May 2009, credited to Matt Dunham/AP, if anyone is interested. I made a scan of it in high res, but quality is poor. I also scanned the extended caption written by art critic Rachel Campbell-Johnston - interesting view of the pic's quasi-religious composition.
