An Actual Fabregas Article

Afternoon guys,

I just wondered, on a purely technical/tactical level, why exactly Barcelona would let him go?

I understand there are political elements to this, and Barca want to revolutionise things, but I don't understand the transfer. Spain see Fabregas as the next best after Xavi, Iniesta et al, so why don't Barca? For me he could play in any central midfield birth (bar the holder), and he is a versatile enough player to fit in anywhere. The guy is awesome.

Even if they do see him as second choice atm, surely he is the guy to step up when the status quo diminish? I don't get how Koke would be an upgrade on Cesc.

As someone who really does not watch much Spanish football, can people explain to me such things. WITHOUT getting into some het up debate about where he will end up playing his football.

Perhaps he doesn't get on with the new coach !

Because today the Haçienda down here slapped Barça with a massive multi-million Euro fine over the Neymar transfer bung.

They're haemorrhaging money atm.

Maybe he wants to leave, he's been good for barcelona but not popular with the fans

Too direct for tika taka imo. Doesn't suit them or the Spain team if you ask me. He'd have been unreal at Real Madrid.
