To think the face of Chelsea going from Shevchenko and Torres to Diego Costa. Abramovich really must be bored with his poster children philosophy

Still worried about this signing, hard not to be when spending 30mil+ on a guy that still rightfully falls into the category of "one/two season wonder". Admittedly haven't seen him play much, when I have hasn't really stood out, but he does have this tenacious nature about his game that endears him to fans - however he plays he'll have his fan boys I'm certain of that - and the signing in general does resemble are signing of Drogba (25 y/o one season wonder with an unconventional style and dogmatic pitch mentality). Even the fee if you factor in inflation is around about the same.

I dunno. Think if we sign a striker we need to be absolutely certain of his value and just pay it.

I'd actually feel more comfortable spending 30mil on getting Sturridge back. That's how uncomfortable I am with Diego Costa.

Don't get some fans on here all season long have been crying out for a goal scorer, We buy one and use turn skeptical. Who really could we buy that would improve us in both the PL and CL? Not many, and even fewer for £32m or less.

Having Lukaku back would improve us in the PL and CL, that's not really the issue. No signing is worth making just because there's no other realistic alternatives. We bought Torres under that pre-tense.

The striking department has been an issue for so long now, we might as well hold out for A list. Costa is B list at best.

Lukaku is a talented youngster but my god he ain't half over rated on here.
