With all due respect to Reading of course. But the omens are good! Of the 35 matches played so far in the Championship only 12 have resulted in HOME wins. And, plus, we can't keep this terrible form against Reading going... Can we?? I'm going for 2-1 to Tarn! Haynes to score twice and Jimmy Kebe for them. If they play their own game, maintain the focus and believe in themselves as we do, I can see nothing short of a win! Good luck to the Travelling Army as well get behind em! Come On Barnsley!!!

Judging by where you live Braveheart, I dont expect you get to many games at Oakwell.
Those of the Unamed subscribers who feel they have the right to criticise dross, well by the same voice they should also be prepared to give praise when its due,
I'll start it for you "well done Hillcroft and the Reds"..

Really surprised with hill's comments so far. Not doing a great deal to endure himself to the supporters, from where im sat. Fantastic result though and hopefully a much needed boost to confidence for the next game...another really tough away day

I don't think HIll is bothered about endearing himself to the supporters.

Well he should be. We pay his wages

He answers to the board and his job is to deliver a successful side within budget that will improve on the position we have finished in the last few seasons. I doubt there is a clause in his contract that says "Thou shalt be universally beloved" by all who choose to buy a ticket to watch.

The resaon its taken this long to get on here is That I've just got in.....from a trip down south .....west of London to see an excellent performance from a battling side that I thought had prevuoisly captitulated at home. I make absolutely no apology for my previous comments and will call it as i see it even if I am a moaning bleeder But today credit where credit is due..... espesh after debateable decisons meant we had three spot kicks against us. But fair play to Man of Steele. An excellent 3 points for us and a win under Hills belt should make him slightly more relieved . Perhaps the expectations of home wins and performances do not have the same impact away from Oakwell. Only time will tell but as I log off as the missis gets the supper I am indeed going to enjoy my scran in a way I have not done so over the past 3 games. Now Millwall be another test although I do expect at least a draw based upon what I saw today even though it wasn't always pretty or free flowing and we were definately under the cosh for long periods.

We were God awful and you guys played the perfect counter game to ours. You slowed the tempo down soaked up the attack and took your chances. We missed pretty much every chance we had and had it not been for the ref seemingly having a bet on us scoring and giving us a penalty every time we got into your box, we wouldn't of scored in a month of Sundays. I thank you though as this result will hopefully show our chairman that investment is needed but on second thoughts knowing our chairman that investment won't be forthcoming.
