A week ago today Carl Froch and George Groves were to face each other for the final time at the weigh-in in front of thousands of fan before entering the ring the very next day in front of a packed out 80,000 strong crowd at Wembley stadium. For the third year in a row, question marks were over Carl Froch’s head and for the third May in a row Carl Froch career was on the line. Head back to May 2012 and Froch walked into the ring in front of a packed out house in Nottingham on the back of his Super Sixes Final defeat to Andre Ward. World Champion Bute walked into the ring moments later, safe in the knowledge of a rematch would be on the cards if he was to lose his belt out of his comfort zone of having to fight away from Canada. After a 5th round demolition from the Cobra, it was clear Bute didn’t fancy getting bitten in the ring again.
12 Months later Froch walked out to a Sold-Out O2 Arena to face the first man to ever beat the Cobra, Mikkel Kessler. After a gentleman’s agreement between the two fighters after a 12 round classic in Denmark in the Super Sixes tournament was eventually agreed and signed for London. 12 more brutal rounds were put on again by the two fighters but this time the out come changed and the Cobra came out on top.
After a controversial victory in the fight in Manchester the Cobra landed the knockout blow to put to bed the whole Froch Groves saga which had gone on for almost 12 month. Many feel Froch underestimated Groves in the first fight but did George Groves underestimate the animal that normally appears come May?
So whats next Froch? A big fight in Vegas? Froch Kessler 3? Rematch with Ward?
That said I would not be surprised if he put 'His Career on the Line' next May!
Froch come May

He wants Chavez Jr who really is a middleweight but thanks to his old man seems to be well known in US. He's already said no to Ward.

If he doesn't retire ,then he can't refuse to fight Chavez Jr,it's the easiest fight out there. So,big money ,Las Vegas ,a not too difficult opponent ,if he doesn't want it,I'm sure Groves or De Gale would like it .

He will fight Chavez for sure. Hopefully Golovkin/Ward/Martinez(if he beats cotto) too.

Bute was terribly overrated and his KO win was blown well out of proportion. Kessler was shot and I don't understand why he is returning.
I had Groves winning comfortably last weekend and a mistake led to the knockdown. Jim Watt is an absolute tool - had Froch 5-1 up after 6.
He'll probably fight Chavez in a big money fight in Vegas and fair play to him. Ward beats him every day of the week and twice on a Sunday.

Ward can't sell out a doctors waiting room, wouldn't open the curtains if he was fighting in my garden. Froch gives value and will always have a go despite limited ability has flattened plenty of wannabes Chavez goes early like Bute.

Jr. is not an elite fighter. Froch would beat him with ease. Ward is the best from middle up to light heavy in my opinion, but he needs to fight outside of Oaky soon or just feck off.
