We need to get a good (not necessarily top) striker - Remy (10M). He will allow Giroud and Podolski to be deadly while bringing out the best in Ozil, Ramsey (even higher) and the Ox.
We need to a good DM. Alex Song (7M - 10M I think but I don't know) coming back may not be bad at all. He is also good at pumping him balls into the box, something we will lose with Sagna's departure.
We need to replace Sagna. Jenks is not ready yet. We have been linked with Aurier (8M-10M).
We need back up GK and CB. Lets say another 12M-15M in total.
That is a total of 37M - 45M in purchases. I am sure some fringe players will go but even if they don't, that is a deadly team with just 40M in outlays and can compete with anyone.

How would you feel if come the end of next season we again finished 7 pts behind the eventual Premiership winners, having not 'spend big' this summer?
Wouldn't you feel a bit cheated by the manager and the board?
