Sandro.....

... I love the guy but it maybe time for him to move to Napoli as the less frenetic pace of Italian football may suit his style as on occasions for us he tends to get booked early then he is on a tightrope and I do not know if the injuries have taken their toll on his mobility.

Should he move we may well have better footballing options in Bentaleb & Capoue ?

I personally don't want him to leave.
I feel if he and paulinho can get a few games together under their belt they could be pretty effective next season.
A team mate who also speaks your native language is helpful when settling in to a new country.

Id like to Send Bentaleb out on loan for a season to accommodate our large midfield unless he counts towards our home grown quota.

I don't think he's going anywhere, it's just like the Walker to Inter rumours, they seem to like us since Bale tore them a new one.

Talking about a 12m euro fee..

The OP needs to wash his mouth out with soap following dipping his body in a barrel full of dettol after being scrubbed down with brilo pads for suggesting such a thing

I love Sandro and his commitment...as a destroyer he is one of the best about, fearless.

I do wonder whether he will fit in a Pochettino side because his use of the ball is not great.

Poch plays like so many teams where the CBs split and the DM drops in and the ball is played out from there.

Sandro is not as good as someone like Bentaleb, Capoue, Dembele in terms of distribution and so it therefore depends on what qualities Poch sees as necessary.

Look at LFC, Gerrard is no DM but he drops deep and distributes the ball brilliantly from there, and moves forward with play.

I think we will play with less of a pure counter attacking style to LFC, more possession BUT to be more effective than AVBs style you need to move the ball quickly out from the back, incisively and to stretch teams.

I still think Sandro has a role to play and maybe could play more of a Henderson role....just gets up and down, energetically, not especially creative or skillful but a key part of a high pressure, energetic midfield.

Tarrico,

Like lamela, capoue gets better the more time he doesn't play

================

This seems common place for all our injured players. Kaboul was the best CB that ever lived when he was out injured and all our defensive worries would disappear the second he was named in the starting line up. They didnt.

As per the article topic, i wouldnt want to lose Sandro. Yes, he lost a bit of form. Yes, he's had injury concerns. But he is one of best DMs in the league.

Sandro is a key player for the team. We do not have another enforcer.
He is an excellent footballer. I'm expecting him to get over his injuries and come back strong next season.
