The new spine

Remember all the arrogant jibes at Hazard when we first signed him. What a load of BS.

A clear pattern has emerged whereby whenever we sign a new player his ability or character suddenly gets called into question by opposition fans.

Extreme coincidence or simply bitter wums. You decide

Doesn't the spine generally mean the players selected through the middle of the side?

Depends. I think of it as the most important players who are most missed when they don't play.

That's the core of the side.

The spine is the centre - GK, CB, CM, ST

Core/spine much the same thing.

Similar enough

Willian was getting slagged off for most of the season as well. He was putting in good performances week in week out but still being called rubbish. Now the season is over all his haters have been silenced.

William definitely improved this season but he still has work to do and room to improve even further.

More goals next season would be nice as he definitely has that in his locker.

Koke and Pogba would also be great signings if they take place!
