There are rumours that Real Madrid want him and tbh it would hardly be a shock if they did come in for him. They're the most decorated club in Europe, current European champions and he's one of the few players around who would undoubtedly improve them.
Being a United fan, I'm far too well aware of the pull of Real for most players and if Real made an acceptable offer, I think he'll go there.
Question is, what would you guys consider to be an acceptable fee? Given the current market, surely a world record fee would be required. The first 100 million pound transfer?
If he did go, how would you like the substantial funds to be reinvested in the squad?

If Madrid come in for him I reckon he will be off (price dependant).
Getting him to sign a new contract was a great piece of work by the club, given the shenanigans of last summer. He's irreplaceable, but as long as we get the right amount of money I wouldn't be too disappointed. IMO it really is a matter of when rather than if. Hopefully it's not this summer, but if Madrid want him, I wouldn't rule it out.
