I heard the announcement of this very sad news earlier.
I saw him back in the late 80's/early 90's in a London West End theatre production of Waiting for Godot with Ade Edmondson and it was unforgettable. The Bottom episode of the Christmas dinner was hilarious.
A real shame to hear of his passing.

I was very young watching shows like Bottom and the young ones, someone of my age probably shouldn't have been watching them in the first place but I loved them.

My first recollection of him was "Kevin Turvey investigates". In one programme, he investigated leaves - ridiculous stuff, surreal, but his first break on TV.
