You'd have to do more than double it mate 👍
Truth is, nobody knows and whatever will be...will be ✌️

Hopefully the new ground will be more to your liking. First time I went to the Hawthorns in the 80s I was struck by how much the local area looked like Shepherds Bush, I'm guessing you preferred genteel Fulham, as it was less of a busman's holiday.

Don't get me wrong, the surrounding area of The Hawthorns is a hole as well. 👍 no doubt about that.

In the first half of the season without George we accumulated 44 points. In the second half with George and Bam Bam we accumulated 41 so I don't see that either of these players were crucial.

Just as well you won't be needing him then. He only played 8 league games for you anyway.
The silence from George Thorne (and his agent) since he made his comments has been deafening.
As I and others have said before, if he's good enough to get into the Albion team, he'll be selected. He's now back from a nine-month injury lay-off and we've had to manage without him during his rehab period, so he'll have to be a little patient.

Yea nothing against west brom, decent club and decent fans
We want your player, that is all. And from the man himself, 'Derby for me'. He's quite clearly said , he's going knowhere to sit on the bench. So, if he's not for sale, then I'm afraid either as a club or you new manager MUST play him. You've just signed Gardner (centre mid) and I believe your defensive midfield player is mulimbu (apologies if spelt wrong) ???
So, where does george fit in? That offer is just a starter, we know if we want him that has to double, will we do that? I'd certainly hope so if we want him badly enough.
The ball keeps rolling....

Sorry mate but you're being very naive.
If our Chairman decides we're keeping a player, whether he'll be in the first team or not, then keep him we'll do!
We've been here before with better, much more valuable players.
We'll only sell George if a) we decide he isn't and never will be good enough or b) if a big bid comes in that we can't refuse.
I'll eat my skid-marked pants if you end up buying George off us this summer. You can't afford him!

What gives, JH, is this a one-yamyam bid to take over JA606 and prise the coveted 'most tedious poster' award from 666?

666? The number of the beast?

The plot thickens.....

"Albion's want away midfielder George Thorne is apparently in talks with his lawyer: J Price and the PFA and is considering challenging his contract at Albion. The lawyer believes he has a case for workplace bullying and malpractice which if successful would effectively mean his current contract is null and void and he could walk on a free. "
I think this actually sets a good precedent and hopefully is a first step in challenging the exploitation of young talent by professional clubs.
When asked about the high risk strategy Thorne commented this is my Plan A but I have been in training with Tyrone Mears (known as the Houdini of player contracts) and have a Plan B too.
