Brilliant support

So the KP looks like it will be sold out every match next season which will be great for the club and the atmosphere, unfortunately my location means there is no point in me having a season ticket and limits me to 6/7 home games a season, next year that looks to be limited to probably less due to the amount of season tickets that have been snapped up, brilliant numbers I think I read 22,000 have been sold so far and they estimate that there will only be about 3000 available to general sale. No moan here from me I'm chuffed we have that level of support, just wondering what everyone's thoughts on expanding the stadium are? For me doing it in the next two seasons would be a bit daft but even if we did go down the capacity would be there for when we went back up.

Thoughts...

Expanding the stadium is a real test of intent, clearly a huge gamble, but not extending it would send out a signal that announcements of a top 5 finish within a few years was just sabre rattling rhetoric. I'm sure I read somewhere of plans being in place for a new tier on the East stand after two Premier seasons

Do you expect to have two seasons in The Premiership, Foxy . . . . consecutive
Leicester City seem to have won the lottery, from what I've heard, but don't count chickens before you've even dipped your toes into the water
Selling all of those season tickets makes me think about when Blackpool had an adventure a few seasons ago, and, apparently, thoroughly enjoyed their 9 month journey . . . . fans turned up to watch opposition that they weren't likely to see again for a while
The Foxes, Clarets, and R's will be strong contenders/favourites to end up back in The Championship, with slightly longer odds for a few 'established' or reasonably 'new' Premiership teams like my own to end up similarly, so just enjoy the ride and keep your fingers crossed
I wish you good luck with next season's survival fight, as I do Burnley, but don't set your target too high

Actually, other than the elite "super clubs" at the top of the league - I can't see why we wouldn't be able to compete in the PL. There's enough average clubs from 7th/8th down for us to hold our own. I'm certainly not going into next season expecting to get relegated although I do accept anything from 17th up is a success for a first season

I think after 10 years out of the top flight season ticket sales were always going to be strong but im sure the owners are pleasantly surprised by the demand. Im sure its in their thoughts though they have to accept if we do get relegated ticket prices will need reducing to remove any chances of the ground being a third full in some circumstances.

Id certainly give it a couple of years though to ensure the demand is there. Dont see any reason why we wouldnt be getting 38k+ for the big boys though.

Gordon, I think what makes us optimistic is the points total we secured last season: The other teams that have bene promoted from the Championship with 100+ points have all finished a decent mid-table, even top half.

Even so, I'd agree with sentiments expressed that expanding the stadium immediately would probably be a poor idea. Let's see how things go first, let's see whether we do indeed fill out week after week, and let's see how we go with away tickets as well: There are surely enough big grounds in that league for folks like Jimifox4life to get to a few away matches instead if the home matches are full up.

Staying up will be hard, but as a fan you have to have the belief we can do it and more. Otherwise, why would any of us go to watch our club? That's the beauty I it all.

As for tickets, the fuller our stadium the better in my opinion. Whoever those fans are, if they are adding to the clubs finances and atmosphere at games, they are all welcome.

Up the City.

Optimism, eh . . . . it's the only thing that we've all got, and last season's momentum usually continues for a while for promoted teams
I always hope that we don't play any of the promoted teams until some of the enthusiasm has wained, and I'm looking forward to visiting Leicester, 'cos I haven't been for a while (a bit later in the seaon, though)

I would have thought it would be two seasons before the club expanded the ground. The only reason I ask is that the owners have mentioned the expansion before.

I certainly will be getting to some of the away games not too fused who they are I'm not a big game fan I go when I can.

As for being to optimistic I kind of the person that believes you have to be like that and take a risk in order to move forward. Adding a tier wouldn't be the end of the world but it would be there when we need it.
