Communication, connection, and openness with the fans.......was this not Wallace's new mantra?
Yet, amongst the hundreds of examples which Gers fans could quote to counter this mantra, two small examples irritate me particularly:-
1) refusal to disclose season ticket sales
2) a belated reference (only yesterday) on Gers web-site to Charlie Telfer's departure (trivial maybe but by comparison note all the coverage given to Miller's arrival)
These happen to be the ones which irritate me - others on here will have their own examples. But for me it seems to illustrate that this consultation/openness stuff is a paper exercise
'Communication' and 'openness'

Wallace has been given plenty of time, some were even willing to wait his 1690 day review
he fekked up when he openly lied that the withdrawel of the credit facility was down to fans calling for a boycott or withholding ST money until legal assurances were given over ibrox and auchenhowie
the board are never going to be the main problem
we could have bill gates on it FFs and it'll still be
hedgefunds, BPH, Margarita and the wigs making the big calls

DUKE re. Telfer
The reason that one irritated me so much is that I'm on the Gers website a couple of times a day. It is filled with a lot of bland, cliched stuff, occasionally very dull, occasionally board propaganda, always trying to show the club and the manager in a good light - as you would expect as it is the club's own website I suppose
However I think in this new era of openness honesty and transparency we deserve far better. Over a week after the lad had signed for United, and all the papers had reported it do we finally get a reference to it on the website. We are not daft. Telfer left, not for more money, nor better facilities - he left because he reckoned he'd have a better chance of first-team football with United in the SPL. Letting Telfer go - one of Scotland's top prospects - shows McCoist and the club, in a bad light. The club knows that hence their reluctance to be more open transparent and immediate in informing their fans.

See to be perfectly honest, I dont think the club really know how bad something like that is for the club, they dont have a clue, and I feel its more down to that than anything else that this story has been an afterthought.
I mean FFS, the club is fawning over the signing of almost 35yr old Kenny Miller, to partner almost 32yr old Jon Daly up front at the same time as the brightest young prospect we have at the club is walking out the door to go to Dundee United because he feels he wont get first team football.
The picture of how fcked up things are at the club could not be painted any fcking clearer!!

How many of you have even seen telfer
I have probably 8 times in 2years
He was a sub for the u20 on at least 3 of those came on looked nothing special
When he did start he was pulled twice and that was about the time I noticed he was playing
So don't give me this great prospect rubbish
He had a chance and under achieved
21 under 19s have featured for us in. 2 years
Telfer I'm afraid didn't cut it

ill take mark wotte's word over yours
also how can we trust mccoist even knows what he is doing or talking about, his pi$hy statement on the club website was patronising as fak and name dropping players who previously came out of MP
Ferguson being the most baffling, considering Ferguson was a 1st team regular when mccoist himself was still playing at Rangers (10iar season)
Auchenhowie doors were opened in September 2001
by that time Barry Ferguson had been a Rangers player for 4 seasons and was even club captain.
This kinda ill informed clichéd pi4H that trots out his mouth is what pi$$es so many off
he doesn't have a forking clue

Rather than be sucked in by what Wotte judge him by his actions.
He has picked him twice....you the super kid has been left out by Wotte more often than picked.
So he talks the boy up...do you still fall for that fitba talk ...come on....
Telfer has ability, Ive seen that, but he doesn't show it often enough hence he could hardly get in the Rangers Un20s Scotland Un 19s
So like you I agree with Wotte but I do it based on his actions rather than fall for some cheap fitba chat.

what team does wotte pick?
telfer got 30 mins to prove himself. he keeps banging on about young players earning their place or a chance, I totally agree but ill never be convinced that priqs like law, daly, foster, mcculloch etc earned the right to play every game last season

No HE didn't he got week in week out training he got chance after chance at U20 LEVEL
Yet 20 other kids all got given more ops that Telfer.
Why would that be?
Why has Wotte not picked him more often?
I judge a player on what I see, not what the press report as commented by a manager.
what team does wotte pick?
He picks the UN20s squad and advises who should play.(as well as having similar input at all youth levels.
But you knew that..........or you should have....
Or did you really think that was down to Billy?...come on tell me you didn't think that?
