Oh I feel better, Cesc and Costa are technically last season's signings?

realistically only City would have had a chance at scuppering any deal to Chelsea and I don't think they could have swayed him.

Last season before Matic arrived our first choice pairing was Lampard and Ramires. They were both box to box CMs except they would take turns holding. It isn't too much of a stretch to imagine Mourinho will play Matic (an actual DM) alongside Fabregas who'll play box to box.

Also Oscar isn't leaving.
