One trick pony

At the bottom Megson says this

"It went against us, Gary Madine’s ‘goal’ was offside, but we became a one-trick pony which was smash the ball straight up to Madine and hope something would drop for us."

Now is it just me or if he can see that we are just hoofing it forward to Madine is he not the man who is paid to get the players doing something different?

Shouldn’t he have done something to change this? Such as give the advice of passing to someone in the same colour shirt perhaps. Or put your foot on the ball and look up don’t just smash it anywhere, could have been another option.

We could all see this in the stands from about the 20th minute so why couldn’t he. Lets just hope that today goes a lot better than the last 2 games and we actually start to look like a professional football side rather than a Sunday league under 11’s side.
