It works both ways, some will say unrealistic, others will say not good enough, that's just the way it goes when you have many people on a forum.

You get kids chatting rubbish and judging players on youtube and Football games but then there is the reaction to that, some people so desperate not to appear like said kids will discredit these out of hand all together. No of course you can't get a complete idea from a player based on youtube, after all most videos can't convey how consistent a player is, or how good they are at tracking back but to dismiss it out of hand all together is it's self naive, it's a video medium and of course can show technically ability, pace and attributes like that.

There is some truth to the old saying that frequents football forums that 'you can make any player look good on youtube' , I actually thought I'd test this theory with the ultimate challenge and the truth was
Ade Akinbiyi still looked utter tripe. So it failed that test, of course the other side of this is you could easily make Joe Cole look like Messi, presumably Gerrard is a youtube fan.

I've called for a couple of players on the old 606 that were received badly, firstly actually was Ozil before he made his name, no one agreed. The second was David Luiz almost a year before we signed him and I got an article with 10+ 1 stars - I don't think a single person agreed with me, all I got was 'we've got Alex', 'he's not good enough' etc etc.

The other side to that is I was once desperate for Chelsea to sign Wayne Routlege!
