I tried to watch Le Mans on Eurosport this year, really I did. But it is rare to see such naked subscriber exploitation as Eurosport employed at the Le Mans 24 Hours but frankly it was a mix of sickening and unwatchable. It was so bad that with 35 minutes of a classic race to go I switched it off, as I had done at six O Clock the previous evening. from about 7 in the morning it wasn't too bad, again getting worse and worse as the day progressed. The ACO should ask for twice the money they received and ensure Eurosport never again cover the event. Literally, there were times when they showed 4 mins of ads, less than a lap and another 3 mins of ads. It was that bad at times. I will not be watching Eurosport again and if I could I would cancel the "subscription". God alone knows how many complaints the commentators must have had over their oft mentioned Twitter accounts . Lamentable..... Le Mans this year was simply lamentable. In my opinion no other sport would be treated so shabbily and Eurosport owe us an apology.

I never really watched it at 'peak' times but I saw some odd timed adverts. Surely they have some sort of live control to delay adverts for a bit or bring them forward. I'm not sure when but about 20hrs in the top 3 in LMP2 were all about to battle and we went to adverts, coming back after the overtakes
If they had just waited 5 minutes....

The race itself was fantastic. But Eurosport are just a bunch of amateurs. They manage to spoil every sport they cover especially the live coverage.
I subscribe to the iPad version which gives the two channels plus extras. For the race they included 5 in car cameras, pit lane coverage (with commentary) and the full standard feed all without adverts.
I occasionally switched to the tv channel but the add breaks were too frequent. At one point they came back from an ad break and the safety car was deployed. They waited till the SC was over and then went immediately to an ad break.
I watch it every year but this year the tv coverage was dreadful. I feel sorry for anyone watching it for the first time.
I hope that itv4 are covering the Tour de France this year so I don't have to put up with eurosport.

Did not watch Le Mans, I appreciate its history and importance but just cannot watch it (takes too long).
To be fair to Eurosport, their motogp coverage was phenomenal.

So now to be (equally) fair to the Le Mans fans who did watch their coverage of the event this year it was lamentably poor and they should be told so. Part of the argument is that they do not treat any other sport or its fans with such contempt. To allow them to get away with what they did this year is simply unacceptable, IMO. Had Le Mans received the same quality of the MotoGp then there really would be no cause for complaint. Sadly it was nothing like as good and can only have harmed the Eurosport brand.

Autosport did a bit of a write up about Eurosport Le Mans coverage. It said how good it was, particularly the commentary team of racing drivers racing drivers who were extremely able, especially when we returned to the race after the ads.....Well, the media is going to suck up to the media. I talked to a professional motor racing photographer once who thought Bruce Jones was a good editor at Autosport!
