According to the stats yesterday England had more shots @ goal then anyone else. That to me suggests that Hodgson is willing to go at it a little bit more that usual. Ok, so Italy were slightly the better team, but that's only because we couldn't or didn't address their right hand side. I'm quietly optimistic, going into the Uruguay game, but do feel that we might have to change our formation to a 433 or
451. Thoughts?
Englands shots @ goal!

Need a creator. At Liverpool Sturridge got Coutinho and Suarez to feed him the passes. England don't really have a no 10, unless Roy plays Rooney there and he's lost it by looks of it. Most of the shots were from distance I think. Though their keeper was pretty good nonetheless.

we had the chances to at least draw and probably win. we just didn't take them.

Imagine how many we'd have if we had Townsend

But how many clear-cut chances did we create? There was a lot of hit and hope shots in the 2nd half.

As far as clear cut chances (would be a crime to miss it) go, there was only one in the match and Sturridge scored it.
Italy's first wasn't even a half chance, we had at least 5-6 opportunities better than that one to score.
