So Napoli have decided to not sign Reina permanently. What's next for Reina?. Is he better than Mignolet and claim first choice next season?. or is Mignolet now the main man?
Always thought Reina would end up at Barca, but with them signing Ter Stegen that's not possible anymore.
Realistically you can;t afford to keep 2 top keepers at the club and keep them both happy.
Reina vs Mignolet

Reina has burnt his bridges at LFC brendan i feel will be doing his utmost to get rid.
Reina is in a comfort zone,he's still contracted on mega wages, and won't move until he retains mega wages.
Napoli probably would'nt agree to his demands and thats what scuppered the deal,he knows he's getting paid big while nothing happens, bit of a poor attitude on the whole i think, putting cash before finding a club that'll give him game time,a malaise attitude that's seen rodgers show him the door last year.

I agree he's burnt his bridges but there are a lot of assumptions in that post.
Maybe he just wants a bigger and better club than Napoli?
Barca have got a young keeper coming in and maybe still see him as long term rather than immediate?
RM are not exactly flush in that dept with Castilles on the wane.
AM could well be looking after Courtois returns to Chelsea.
Monaco may well be looking after the collapse (apparently) of the Valdes deal.
Wenger has been a fan in the past, long shot for Arsenal?
Each of those clubs would be a better bet for him than Napoli. Of course he might be the greedy work-shy character with a poor attitude you describe but there are other plausible scenarios for him to consider.

You've guessed that tbh and there is no way I'd take a pay cut in my job - would you?
Anyway - Pepe been a great servant and a quality goalkeeper for us so I wish him well. I think his time is done here, despite me thinking he is a superior keeper to Mig (although he is young in GK terms and can improve) but I suspect it will be another loan and them him moving on a free. They'll be no shortage of offers for Reina if he were on a free but it would not suprise me to see Arsenal bring him in or Napoli to agree another loan.

£100k+pw Its hardly the same as being on a couple of hundred quid a week and ya boss taking out a hundred quid of it for the priviledge of working for him in deductions is it?
I'll be extremely surprised if anybody takes him unless we wave a fee,cn't see napoli taking him on loan again.
Reina's on field attitude stunk the place out after rafa left,as you say,his time here is done, just hope we're not left subsidising him like we have with others in recent times.

Whoa there. It's not subsidising. We offered him, and others a contract and he accepted and both parties should honour it. A lot changes in football very quickly but we can expect professionals to suddenly tear up their own contracts to appease some kind of fans view on decency especially when it's such a short career.

Reina will go to Atletico Madrid to replace Courtois. Mignolet will be Liverpool's number 1.

Yup, Atletico need a keeper now Courtois is gone, so it's made for Reina to return.
