"The BBC has received 445 complaints from viewers about Phil Neville's BBC One commentary on England's World Cup match against Italy."
Who'll sign a petition for Phil Neville....

tbh the only person I've found more boring than Shearer is Owen
Could be worse though...remember the good old days of Pleat and Atkinson

"I reckon when they get back to Manchester for pre season training, rooney will stick one on him"
Shearer's thoughts on Ronaldo winking after rooney got sent off for England, he actually said that.

He wasn't that bad. Cant believe there isn't a petition for Savage. Has to be the worst out there.

Savage must have something on the producer...there is no way someone with so little talent could possibly manage to stay in that job otherwise

He's BBC's version of Jamie Redknapp

Savage is brilliant, I love the man. Yes he's a complete t^t but he knows it and doesn't take himself seriously. He brings some much needed humour to the set up.
Shearer looks more and more like Phil Mitchel every day.
P neville was truly awful BUT the overreaction is ridiculous! Give him another chance... if he's still bad then I expect he'll accept commentary isn't for him. Feel a bit sorry for the bloke tho!

The co-commentator should sound a lot more excited
Coz I can't be bothered

Phil Neville was a bit flat on his first commentary but I would rather have him give some good insight into the game than Lawrenson, who gets so much wrong and then has to backtrack on the replays, and is so sarcastic as if he knows it all.
I remember Bob Wilson when he first moved into tv presenting, very wooden and ill at ease; but in time you think less and less about what you sound like and start to concentrate on the presentation and what you are saying and soon you sound like someone born to the role.
