Walcott

We may as well sell him, in my opinion.

It is most likely he will have lost his pace due to injury - and even if he hasn't, by the time he actually comes back, he'll be almost 25 so will only have 2 or a maximum of 3 years left of being quick, and as we all know he has zero technical ability or technique so won't be able to adapt his game to extend his career.

He will be more injury prone than ever when back so I think Wenger should cut his losses and sell him as before long he will be useless due to age/injury, that's if he isn't already.

Jenius99 we've sold plenty of other unique players haven't we? So that's beside the point really.

For me Walcott has promised so much and delivered so little. By now he should be a world class player performing consistently and all we get is the occasional good patch of form, which is a flash in the pan really.

He will have lost that yard of pace that actually made him useful and 'unique' - he won't have that pace anymore now and added to that he will be more injury prone than ever and we will probably get a healthy profit on him , so it makes sense to sell.

wtf.

Walcott was the second most productive player behind Bale the season before last. In fact only Suarez/RVP/Bale were ahead of him. Even with injury last season he still got 5 goals and 4 assists. Doesn't produce?

He will have lost that yard of pace that actually made him useful and 'unique'

More uninformed tripe. Every doctor/physio interviewed has said that you don't lose pace from this ligament injury. You lose pace with muscle injuries like Owen had with his hamstrings. So keep your hate to yourself.

J99:

By the time he's back in October / November, he'll take several months to adjust back to playing by which point he will be 25 and losing pace anyway.

Added to that he'll be so injury prone, so we may aswell sell him while we will make a tidy profit.

He will never be a player that produces game in game out, a failed young prospect IMO.

Plenty of pace merchants out there with more technique than him.

Yes good idea.

Probably best selling Kos too as he has had his fair share of injuries and it is obvious he will not be the same player when he regains full fitness.

Come to think of it Ramsay has been injured for long spells, so he should just be released to free up much needed space in our already gigantic bulging squad. Ozil too.

In fact based on your logic it would be beneficial to get rid of most of the squad and replace them with injury free players at all costs.

Stuart Pearce:

Ramsey (our only GOOD player) will be sold to Barca or city or Madrid or United anyway.

Selling kos wouldn't be a disaster, he's not as good as people seem to think.

Ozil is crap, and has an equally bad attitude. To think we passed up on Fabregas because of him...

Completely agree. Your arguments are sound and well balanced.

Kos has been a complete liability for us and despite having the best defensive statistics of any defender in Europe last season, I concur he’s not really very good. And to think of the millions that clown of a manager wasted on getting him! Can’t understand why we didn’t offer £50m for David Luiz as would have been a decent replacement.

In regard to Ozil hopefully if he gets an assist or two (maybe even a goal) during the WC some championship side will take him off us and the club can just write him off as a lesson learned, move on, and concentrate how they can prize Cesc away from Chelsea.

Nobody is as clever as you OP that is precisely why they will ignore all the terribly insightful reasons you list and buy him anyway

The OP could never be called an Arsenal "supporter".

If we sell did sell Theo it would send a message that we are no longer content with the 4th place trophy and are insread looking to win the 5th place trophy. Spursday night football

Or maybe the OP is just an idiot.
