So Monsieur Francis Coquelin is set to return to the Emirates this summer after a loan spell at Bundesliga catamites SC Freiburg.
I haven't ran the rule over the 23 year old's performances in Germany with any great precision, but from what I have seen and been reliably informed, the lad's been at best 'average' and at worst 'a complete liability'.
Where now for Francis? He was quite a promising prospect, performing well on loan at French club Lorient and then having a handful of modestly decent cameos in an Arsenal shirt.
His stock seem to plummet however when afforded opportunities by Wenger to impress. Granted the lad was part of (arguably?) Arsenal's most uninspiring group of players a couple of years back, so it maybe wasn't the best platform for him to shine and show his supposed talents.
Arsenal supposedly being in the market for a more defensively minded midfield player will now have one to add to their ranks. However, after a pretty turgid year in the Bundesliga, question marks over the players quality will inevitably be asked.
I'm curious if he has any sort of meaningful future at Arsenal, he's a versatile player, having filled in at rightback as well as the centre of the park, but it's hardly set up for him to come back to London and take the Premier League by storm, is it?

He's still young enough to salvage his career but he needs to get a permanent move and plenty 1st team football. Not good enough for us but in a few years time I could see him having a Velaish improvement. Plenty potential just needs the right club

Like I say, his stock has seriously plummeted, we're talking Myspace plummeted!
I remember at one point (he must have been late teens) he was seen as this potential world beater, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich were repeatedly sniffing around his crotch looking for some sweet action.
His time in Germany has done his career prospects little or no favours, so in reality I don't think that there will be that many takers for him, certainly not the better teams anyway.

Hopefully he'll stay well away from Arsenal. This guy makes Denilson look world class.

What is unique about Coquelin is that his internal organs are actually fixed to his ribcage, which is quite remarkable.

No DM signing, no RB signing because Jenkinson will fight with Bellerin for number 1 spot.
Meaning we can spend our WARCHEST on Sanchez, Di Maria and Balotelli
--------Szcz-----
Jenk--MErt--Kos--Gibbs
------Ramsey---??---
Sanchez--Ozil--Di Maria
----------Balotelli-----

Coquelin's comments previously show that he has a poor attitude - and it seems his performances don't back those comments up either...

Coquelin can play RB/DM/CM...Is this our new back up RB to Jenk?
The times I watched Coq he wasn't that bad at all...Just not special at anything.
