It's not surprising given the man and the emotions he provokes but I just don't see life bans etc as realistic.

Biting is disgusting and he'll be punished. What's more he'll absolutely deserve to be banned.

But we see all sorts of terrible things on a pitch, intentional leg breakers, stamps on knees, elbows to face etc etc.

Frankly if you offered me all those or a bite on the shoulder then I'll roll my sleeve up and offer you some tomato sauce.

Are you sure Suarez is doing this as some kind of gourmet preference? I'm not convinced he's actually eating the flesh.

(Though to be fair, it happens in rugby quite a lot, and some of them do look a bit too carniverous, for my liking).
