That's one game less than what he got for biting Ivanovic and that didn't stop him from biting again.
Suarez will learn nothing from this sadly and I wouldn't bet against him biting again.
On a side note Suarez has flushed any chance of Uruguay winning the World Cup down the toilet.
Hope it was worth it you goofy cheating psycho
Suarez ban - what a let off.

You only have to look at Suarez's post match "stuff happens" comments after biting Chiellini that this is a man who clearly feels no remorse and hasn't learned anything from his previous ban after biting Ivanovic.

I agree with that

Didn't Liverpool pay for some sort of counselling?

They would definitely be sacked, particularly if it happened in the workplace as with Suarez. Otherwise they'd probably find themselves on the end of a law suit.
I also doubt they'd get a job elsewhere as the risk of liability would scare off potential employers.
I agree that boundaries will be stretched for extremely talented individuals but a bite goes beyond the lines.

That is exactly my point. Leaving the punishments up to the footballing governing bodies in reality is no punishment at all.
A continued £100,000 a week or whatever rat boy is on and time off from work. Any fines are totally disproportionate to their earnings.
The only thing I can see hurting Suarez post bite is the fact that the has cost his Country any chance of progression. Missing the training and International matches on a personal level.........I doubt that would bother him, just ask the England players
What would have been the outcome if Bakkal, Ivanovich and Chiellini had all pressed assault charges from the start I wonder.

If he isn't available for Liverpool in any form over the next 4 months surely they won't continue to pay him?

Very lucky they haven't. I would have done.

The saddest thing is that I was genuinely looking forward to Suarez play this tournament. I had a cheeky little bet on Uruguay to win the WC but no chance of that now.
He's facked it for himself and his country. Well done pratt

The ban works out as a ban for 22 matches at club and international level. Plus if it is a training and transfer ban as well then it is a pretty tough and relatively fair punishment in my opinion.

I agree Gazza, i think the punishment is about right. There should be also a really severe suspended punishment too though, have they done that?
