Suarez - Over Reaction

Let me just say Suarez deserved to be punished for his latest biting incident, but for me it been a massive over reaction by the media and fans calling for 2 year ban or kicked out of football all together. There are much worse things that happen on a football field. Ask Gary Mabbutt if he would jave rather been on the end of a suarez nibble or a john fashunu elbow or alf inga hiland (spelling) from a knee high career ending tackle. Yes suarez actions serve no place on a football pitch but he has been punished and will serve it. He didnt do a mike tyson a bite someones ear off. So for me the punishment fits the crime

Oh FFS so the OP is happy with biting, I assume if he has children then he will be happy for them to be bitten by their fellow schoolmates.

Words fail me with articles like this.

I think you will find players in rugby that do eye gouging, biting etc usually get bansof 6 months or so. Suarez has only got half that for being a serial offender.

The reason Rugby comes down on what is snidey antics is because the game is so physical and serious injury is possible just in normal play. Possibly doing worse in such a cowardly manner is not acceptable.

IMHO PL defenders would accept Suarez bite attacks if (considering him to be a "Matt Rogers" ) they could go "Josh Lewsey" on him within the rules of the game.

Totally different sport...in rugby you get sent off for a deliberate trip with your leg, in football its part of the game, in football if you picked the ball up and ran the length of the pitch or tackle someone around the waist you get a , need I go on. Also if caught biting in rugby you get banned.

It's because he has done it 3 times. 3 b1oody times FFS!!!

I think he needs to eat someones face on the pitch before he gets any sort of decent punishment.

Serial killers should dust take up football. seems you can can do what you like on the pitch.

IF I bit 3 different people in the same bar over a 4-year period. I would be jailed or at least get a criminal record. minimum that would happen is that I'm barred from the venue. Even if I was staff.

The key factor is all these incident are unprovoked. At least not more provoked than anyone else. Robben Ribery, Ronaldo and Messi get fouled a lot more than Suarez.

What's his beef?
