Haigh

He is in a bad way, according to whoever is running his Twitter account. Pain medication increased and coughing up blood.
Doesn't matter what he's done and our personal views on him, the home office should be doing more, and why is there not more press coverage? This should be afforded to any British Citizen, irrespective of whether they are a total Richard or not.

Whatever the rights/wrongs of what he did to GFH or our club, he's banged up in a jail abroad without either charge or conviction. I seriously hope the Foreign Office are getting the fingers out to at the very least why a British passport holder is being held without charge in a foreign jail.

By the way - I don't like the guy that much - but this all reeks of a big fat stitch up by those ar(se)holes of GFH.

I'm afraid that's how it is here. If suspected you are arrested and held until the prosecution decide if there is a case to answer. It can take weeks and the prison conditions can be grim. I wouldn't,wish it on anyone. The sooner MC buys out GFH the better, they employed him after all. Perhaps because he was capable of dodgy dealings, or was he just naive?

There's an echo in here.

If he was in cahoots with the cockroach trying to get him back into the club on the cheap...then IMO it serves him right...I wander what he did...people don't just get stuck in prison for nowt...he must've pi55ed someone off..

I accept that it is how they deal with things, doesn't mean it is right. My point is the fellow is innocent until proven guilty.

I realise we have folk that post on this board claim to be in the know about Haigh and what he has or has not done so a similar point is raised here. Until we see actual evidence of criminal activity it is best to post accordingly.

We have had it for a number of years from a few barrack room lawyers that Mr A, Mr B or Mr C has been doing this that or the other....! Personally I think it's tosh, but hey who cares..? The challenge is for them to put up or shut up IMO...!

I fully agree that Massimo Cellino needs to remove the old regime as soon as possible, he may already be looking into this, but he is probably considering it alongside many other issues which may take precedence.

-----------------

Haigh was up to dodgy stuff but the end goal of that was to gain control of the club for himself. He truly wanted to own the club. There are people on this board that know stuff, but unfortunately 99% of it is unable to be told due to protecting their source. Just put it this way, David Haigh was never one to keep quiet and there are several fans that were in cahoots with him. Haigh genuinely wanted control of Leeds United, whether that reign would have been successful or not nobody will know.

I've got an awful feeling he will come to harm whilst in custody.

They are desperate to keep him quiet by the looks of things.

Pro - WSAIWB - 'Whoever Is The Manager' Out!!

I am sure there are folk that know many things, what most of them don't do is come on here and peddle twaddle like a couple of our finest do.

You and I both know that there are certain elements on these boards whose primary aim is to spread misery and to undermine every positive aspect of the club and its leadership.

We have wise sages that pass comments without providing anything to back up their points and you don't necessarily need to reveal a source to bolster your claim if you word it correctly.

Perhaps we need less of the vague comments...?

'Haigh was up to dodgy stuff' is a great example of what I mean.

How are we, your fellow contributors to this site to take that...? Why should anyone simply accept that as a comment and not question it...?

I question a lot of what is put on here. I am not saying the comment is not correct, I am simply questioning its validity. I don't believe everything I read or hear. I think it is right to do so.

Do you believe we should just accept comments simply because A or B say it is so...?

If that is the case it makes no sense of having a forum if you ask me.
