The funny think looking at the goal is how Gabby really made the guy look daft. It wasn't as if Gabby used Messi like skills to round him. It was quite a big lurch to the left, then a big one to the right. Most decent defenders would have shut that down quite easily, or have sheperded Gabby to the line or blocked it. It was a lovely, swerving finish, but Gabby on the ball ain't like Messi and co. Burn really are quite poor in defence. Unless they magic some signings, I think they're fighting the relly this year.

Thing about Gabby is he's got a really long stride. One big "lurch" and the defender has to get in two steps at least to catch up. Thought the lad played well yesterday, a good reply to those who tend to write him off. He frightens defenders, and is best when attacking from deep, like yesterday, rather than hanging around the box.

True Mc, he does have the stride of a 100m sprinter. He's no twinkle foot, but as you say, those big strides at pace cover a lot of ground, and leave others groping. Let's hope this is Gabby reborn for this season.
