But I guess this kind of stuff is perfectly fine.

There are cheats in every sport. A lot of women probably dive but no one watches their games, so we would not notice

You should see the evils going round my place re this post ! - but then again we're used to it having always worked with a mixed bunch of both sexes all thankfully gifted with a sense of humour.

Men with sticks up their árses will stick up for women with sticks up their árses.

Real women join in the jokes.

Jordan, I'm not denying that there's no dirty play in the mens game. It exists in both.

Only thing is, Casey Stone DENIES it!

That player (Elizabeth Lambert) was then suspended from all sporting activity for her university after action was demanded.

My point is that yes it happened but they actually went and did something about it and she then apologised afterwards and I don't believe she's done anything of note since.

At least the Women's game has some bottle to actually do something about it, and that's why they have a much cleaner game. I'm not saying that they don't have incidents like the men's game does but if you watch both (I only really watch some of the Women's World Cup and the occasional FA Cup game) you can see a massive gap in the level of fair play.

The stakes are not as high though. When serious money gets involved and serious honours as well, it will change

How do we know there isn't worse foul play in women's football? Nobody watches it.

I watched the last World Cup (or Olympics) and I thought the football on show was brilliant. Almost all of the games were great to watch, there is just something wrong about it though.

I know what you mean. I have nothing against women playing football at all, but it seems strange to me. I dont think I will ever idolise(for want of better word) a female footballer, because in my mind there is a male who is better than them.

Im not saying it correct to think this way, but while I hope Liverpool ladies do well, I couldnt really give a toss.

Maybe not diving, but certainly some ungentlemanly play:

Women's football will NEVER be on a par with the men's game, they need to carve out their own niche rather than trying to compare it to mens football.

Hope Powell was in the news last year saying that England's women are technically better than the men's team, which they may or may not be but why come out with that?

Trying to have a dig a version of sport that you're trying to emulate but never will, seems a bit pointless.

I watched Everton v Doncaster last season and the standard was no better than a good Sunday league game, that's not being sexist or disparaging but it's just a reality, it was very, very poor, diving or no diving.
