Seen quite a few Arsenal fans laughing at the Lallana fee, well Bournemouth have just announced that they have received £4 million from Southampton for their 25% sell on clause.
Correct me if I am wrong but that would make what Liverpool actually paid for Lallana, £16 million?
Don't believe everything you read in the papers about what we paid, Brendan nearly wet himself with laughter yesterday when it was suggested to him we had paid £25 million for Lallana.

Since when was 4 25% of 20?
Don't use the to suggest someone else is being a mug when you're being one yourself.

The OP's maths is right. If £4m is 25% then £16m is 100%.
Where he got the information though, I don't know.

25% of £16 million is £4 million?
A journo in a local paper in Bournemouth said they received £4 million from Saints yesterday. This guy covers all things Bournemouth so will be more reliable than most. He also works for local radio covering all Bournemouth matches.

So Southampton got £16m and his agent got nothing.

MATHS TIME
The important thing to remember here is that the sell-on fee is a percentage of what Liverpool paid, rather than what Southampton received - so those saying £4m to Bournemouth means a total of £20m are wrong. If it's a 25% clause, Bournemouth get a quarter of the full sum and Southampton get 3/4 (whereas 16m and 4m would be 1/5 and 4/5).
If Bournemouth got £4m, and the clause was 25%, then Liverpool have paid £16m - Bournemouth getting 4, and Southampton gettin 12.
On the flipside, if Liverpool paid the suggested total of £25m, then Bournemouth would get a quarter of that (i.e. £6.25m) and Southampton the rest (£18.75m).
Everyone get it now?

Lallana also got his hubcaps returned.

It is more than likely that Bournemouth have got 25% of the upfront payment. It is rare for the full transfer fee to be paid in one lump, especially when it is a large amount.
There will be add ons & other clause which will ultimately take the fee to £25m in time.
