actually quite positive

The more i think about todays game the more positives i take - i don't know if its my medication or new found philosophy on life but I can take a lot of good out of that game.

The defense was superb for all but the last 4-5 mins. How we missed verma last season! We sure would have won that league cup with him at the back and then who knows what more - if only.

Miguel was very impressive, i thought. Cannot underestimate verma's amazingness but all in all for his first game and being thrown into the fire as it were i think he was great; vocal, ariel threat, read the game
Jenkinson was also very impressive - what a player we got for so cheap, could be a nice little masterstroke by wenger there. And sagna was very strong aswell, even though he was out of position.

The keeping issue is now officially closed - hello safe hands Wojciech Scezney ... really solid, didn't put a foot wrong, for first time in ages i feel confident in our keeper and thats where you start when building a great team.

Frimpong was excellent - silly challenge but all the great defensive midfielders did stuff like that at that development age (most still do) a little early but a new makelele on our hands with this one!

Great to see Lansbury come on .... he is more of a progressive players, like to go forward so not the best game to assess, obviously asked to come on and fill in for frimpong - but still, keep giving him game time, only a good thing.

And fair play to samir... i do hope he stays, we really need him

The first goal was simply unfortunate - not down to lack of experience or anything else - those things can happen to any defender at any level, just nothing you can do about it. And i can understand wenger, the goals looked a little offside

But all aside, looking at our injuries, banned players and levels of experience on field, liverpool were the favourites today and deserved their win ! I don't want to focus on negatives and it does not exclude our lack of movement in the market but all in all i think theres a lot to be positive about to day

Arsenal did nothing wrong with the players that were available and injuries we had. I didn't expect a win because when you compare the two sides, liverpool have a team that cost £100m with plenty of experience and we had 3-4 players that have barely any premier league experience.

The blame comes down to activity in transfer window, we have not signed anybody really and we have 10 days left!
