I've been having a discussion about both of these players.
There's reports (that need to be taken with the obligatory pinch of salt) that Arsenal have bid for both of these guys. IF that's true, I'm sure they'd only go for one of them.
Khedira isn't a 'holding player' as some seem to be under this common misconception. He is a physical presence and not shy to 'mix it up' and put a tackle in, so that's possibly one of the reasons as to why some see the German as a holding midfielder.
Schneiderlin on the other hand is. He does the simple things well, mops up lose balls in-front of the back 4 and does the general dirty work of a specialist defensive midfielder.
I rate both players. But I'll stop short of stating my preference because I don't want to sway anyone's view one way or the other.
So, simple question, if it was/ is a case that both of these players were available, who would you choose to play for Arsenal?

Khedira or Schneiderlin?

If Real Madrid have bagged Toni Kroos for €25m, in the current over-inflated market, that's an absolute steal!
Marca are saying it's all done, I think Bild are saying to the contrary. Still, where there's smoke, there's fire.

Would prefer Martinez to either, personally. Khedira is definitely more of a box-to-box type player as people have said, but I wouldn't call Schneiderlin a pure holder either - last season at least he did seem to have more of a box-to-box role especially when Wanyama played.
Of the two I'd probably opt for Schneiderlin as he's got the premier league experience and probably wouldn't cost as much allowing us to use more resources elsewhere, but as I said personally I'd go all out for Javi Martinez.

Id like us to sign Sami but hes very similar to Rambo Imo. Both box to box players that can tackle very well. I don't think u can play with 2 box to box players. U need someone who will always sit bk like Silva and Petit when Viera was bossing it.

Me too, no doubt about it!
But I think the reports of Bayern being open to selling him were way off the mark.
Also, I'm sure IF Bayern wanted to sell him, they'd at least want their money back, if not a few quid on top of what they originally paid for the player. I'd imagine you'd be looking at somewhere between £35/40 million!
He's well worth that imo, but as I've said, I'd actually be very surprised is Bayern decided that they wanted to sell him.

Yep, it seems that way. But I completely agree, would definitely be worth those types of figures.

Having Khedira would help Ozil ?
Khedira's experience in CL and at big club will help us but French bloke looks promising too. Martinez, not seen him much to comment.

Khedira would be my 1st choice, he is very good friends with Ozil and may help him settle easier in this country. He is a player we need, as mentioned he can be an real enforcer in the middle of the park.
I really like Schneiderlin but cannot see Southampton part with more players......it would be suicidal for them to do this.....
