Still very young, but great tackle, passing and unbeaten in the air this WC. Good enough for any Premier League side?
Bullied every Costa Rican forward last night.

Yes looks good. Agree take him over Vermalen. I think
the latter is cover for Evra and a CB unless he makes it his own and stays fit ! Seems likely Evra may well go to Juve despite the one year extension.

I made abit of a concerted effort last night to notice the abilities of De Vrij and what I saw I was impressed by.
By all accounts we have yet to show interest, with De Vrij agent denying such but Napoli seem to be front runners at the moment.

Football bloody hell - the latter is cover for Evra and a CB unless he makes it his own and stays fit.
How exactly do we know vermaelean is going to be used as cover? We have Evans, jones and smalling plus keane at CB and shaw and evra at LB. Why would we buy another, more experienced CB unless we planned to use him?

Dutch like his new manager. Over-rated. Should fit in well.

Yeah, the media hype about de Vrij has been ridiculous...

Stefan de Vrij last night: Won 5/6 tackles, Won 5/6 headers, 5 interceptions, Cleared 13 threats.
Not bad, hardly overrated. Italians worship cb like him. (Lazio, Napoli & Milan are fighting for him)

He's already captained his country a few times, which isn't bad going at 22. He has looked solid during the World Cup but has been protected by the 5-3-2 that the Netherlands have played, he'd have to take more responsibility as part of a four.

Pundit, you have a very apt username. You could rival any pundit for talking nonsense.
