Has football turned into a tarts game?

I have just read a report in the Guardian where a Russian priest claims coloured football boots are ‘homosexualabomination’

When i was younger i remember playing in some really tough leagues up north and down south.


Most Sundays our game would turn into a major fight. Sometimes the police were called or were already there if it was a derby.

Players would turn up in their lucky boxershorts which were usually ripped to shreds and years old. If you forgot your shin pads you put cardboard down your socks. Beers were drank and reefa's were smoked before Sunday pub league games.

Everyone wore black boots. Then all of a sudden a new boot was spotted on the playing fields - 'The White Boot'
This was usually worn by a young whipper snapper of striker.

I remember when these boots came out and the 2 big centre backs from yorkshire i played alongside used to always say
'Kick the Caarnt in the white boots'

The first player to give him a good kick or foul would get a pat on the back from the rest of the team.

I was watching a game the other night and nearly every player had bright colourfull gay boots on. The colours were clashing with their kits.

In my day young players cleaned the older players boots. Now they rock up wearing their dre beats and carrying a luis vuitton man bag. (Don't get me started on man bags)

You are no longer allowed to slide tackle in the premeirship which was my best skill as a wing back. Players dive, roll around, cry (Nani are you ok are ok Nani, he's been hit by a smooth Carragher)

So why has this beautiful mans game turned into a tarts

Who is responsible and will we ever change this tarts game back into a mans game?
