Offside

What are the Gooners and Arsenal fans talking about "offside goals"? The first goal, Meireles passed it and it come off that Spanish defender. The ball never touched Suarez so he was not active and therefore offside can not be given. This is why when a player is blatantly offside, but the linesmen waits till he touches it to blow the whistle.

The second one isn't even remotely offside.

EXCUSES MAN UP ARSENAL.

You said he was interfering by forcing the defender to follow? I proved you wrong you can not changed your argument. To you tackle point, my response is still valid, and Suarez made no attempt at a tackle so that is complete Avram Grant bull.

Thugs?

Gervinho sent off
Frimpong sent off
Song given retropective punishment

All after TWO games.

Same old crying hypocrtical Arsenal fans. Compared to the number of bad decisions gone against you, the number in your favour would break the scales.

But like your manager, you refuse to face facts.

I can't believe you call yourself a football fan, you don't even understand the offside rule, pathetic.

If he's tackling for the ball from an offside position, HE'S OFFSIDE!

If the ball has been passed towards a player in an offside position and the player forces an error, by putting the defender under pressure and forcing him to move into that position, HE'S OFFSIDE!

You're knowledge of football is laughable and I think you should follow a sport where the rules are a bit easier, like basketball.

All you're doing is making me laugh, so therefore you have failed in your mission of WUMming.

How can Suarez be forcing the defender to follow him and making a tackle on the same player at the same time? It wasn't offside except defeat.

Well, the defender had to keep an eye on him because he was in a dangerous position, therefore forcing the player to follow him. Then when the ball was played through the defender had to shut him down and take the ball. Suarez then tried to tackle the defender whilst the ball being played through.

OWNED!

An offside decision is determined from when the ball is played, ie leaves the passers foot. At this point Suarez had not made a tackle and only made a run. If Arsenal knew how to use the offside trap efficiently they would of not been OWNED themselves.

By this logic if you were to come back from an offside position and then scored, you're not offside as you haven't touched the ball when the ball was played in an offside opinion. You're just making yourself look more and more stupid!

The first goal was offside even though suarez didn't touch it but the ball was played to the liverpool player hence why he is active. If suarez was not there Arsenal would have just let it role out for a goal kick instead of a panick clearance that led to the o.g. The second goal you could say the player was offside as he gained an advantage from being offside before in the build up.

The final ball came off an Arsenal player from the pass. Suarez was not offside. He wasn't interfering. If you came back from an offside position then touched the ball then you would be offside. Suarez didn't touch the ball though. He wasn't offside.

Fact is suarez was active as the ball was intended for him hence offside. I would understand if the pass was instead a shot diverted as an own goal but due to the player controlling and clearing off his own player leading to an o.g. offside had to be given.
