Suarez only 58m

Suarez fee only £58m - report taken from BBC

Posted at 11:54
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claims that Barcelona have negotiated a fee of of between 70 and 73m euros (£55.6m-58m) for the transfer of Uruguay striker Luis Suarez from Liverpool.
The fee represents a reduction of 20m euros on the 27-year-old's buyout clause according to the paper.

If true I think that would show John Henry wants him gone and Barca are the only team that wants him.

I'd be happy with £58m up front for a troublesome lad who will be nearly 28 when his ban finishes.

We'll not be able to replace him whatever they give us but if you'd have told me 12 months ago when it was all kicking off that he would propell us to 2nd, get us CL and also £58m I doubt there is a single person on these boards who would not have nibbled your arm off.

Why fans cream themselves about money so much I'll never know.

The La Liga giants have been in negotiations with Reds officials over the last few weeks in order to finalise the deal for Suarez – with several reports on Friday claiming the clubs had already agreed a deal in principle for £63m.

However, one of the most reliable Spanish journalists regarding Barca, Miguel Rico from Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo, claims the final fee will eventually be between €70m and €73 (£56-£58m).

According to Rico, who broke the news of Cesc Fabregas's move to Chelsea this summer, Suarez had a €95m (£75.5m) release cause in his contract should any foreign club want him, but Barcelona will actually pay around €20m less.

As much as you want it to be that price, it wont be. It will be 70-75 million pounds. Why would Liverpool sell the third best player in the world for for less, considering he signed a new contract last year. BTW Mundo Deportivo is not a reliable source.

Who gives a damn?! We've got a good amount of money and we can sign the replacements even if we take a slight cut price deal.

Just get rid of Luis so we can build for the season.
