Is tthe glass half empty...

or is it half full?
On the one hand, we have gained...
- a new owner
- an untried coach
- some untested players
- much less deadwood
- far less debt
- wholesale changes in staff and management structures
On the other hand, we have lost
- a proven manager at this level
- the top scorer in this division
- senior players and club ambassadors
- our training facility at Thorp Arch
- food for the players at lunch time.
is the glass half empty or half full?

Half full without a doubt.

Club is going through a period of change, which is scary stuff. But I believe we're seeing the seeds of a new start.

How will the new players get on - only time will tell.

Link for LUFC Rumours, but some say some italian players have already signed.

Stefano, you forgot Ross Barkley in the list of young loanees.

And now LUFCHarrogate wants us to sign a player from Rotherham because that's what we desperately need.

One minute we need top players, next we desperately need someone who has played most of their career at div 3 & 4 level.

Didn't Beckford come from obscurity Algarve? That Agard kid is definitely one worth adding to the youth in our squad.

Agard looks a very good prospect - along the lines of Nahki Wells who went to Uddersfield.

He'd be something of a gamble, but i'd rather we took a punt on someone like that, rather than a 35 year old has been with a "name".

Bywater, I was agreeing with Stefano and a few others, that just because a young player has been on loan to several clubs, or comes from the lower leagues does not mean they are garbage, and not good for our future.

But some on here are already questioning the way we seem to be going with these younger of players.

I for one think it is a good sign for the future.

But someone will question my reasoning.

I think there's an interesting mix being put together by Cellino et al. Agard would be a good winger for us but I'm liking the younger players coming through and the Italians linked/signed thus far.

I recall some cynicism earlier in June about this club getting back on its feet. The noisier elements are a little quiet nowadays aren't they?

Long way to go but we've seen some progress of late....

Haven't seen anyone questioning that.

Older players who've spent most of their career on loan yes, but not younger players.
