At one time, I was quite keen on Balotelli joining Arsenal, as he seemed an amusing character and a pretty good player.
Verdict's out about the last part, but as for his 'amusing' qualities - phew, what a lucky escape!
He redefines 'loose canon'.

A good player but not 'that good' for the inevitable grief that is part of the package.
'Bullet dodged' is right

Great player. But I'd be worried he'd randomly throttle the more fragile guys like Ozil or Walcott.

Why are you lot so dramatic - he posts a pic of himself with an air gun... Wow that's so crazy ain't it.
Just a bit immature that's all. Not a big story

I agree Wolf. English people and their media are the most OTT people out there. This is not a big deal.

Yep and then fans like this just jump on the bandwagon. At least he's a character unlike the pointless boring footballers who just spout cliches and have no personality whatsoever.

True enough, wolf, but it also suggests an ego not easily suited to being part of a team.
AND a lot of red cards.

He's not a "great player" in the slightest. Decent player who doesn't come within a country mile of being world class. I don't get the fascination with him, even if I disregarded his infantile antics. Infact, those antics seem to enhance his reputation for some reason.
