I like the look of this kid. Don't know if you've seen it yet but check out this beauty of a goal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onKbdRowGVw (the goal is at about 3.45)
From what i've seen of him he's quick, strong, good technique, passes well and can defend. He's good at running with the ball and makes powerful Yayaesque runs through the midfield. He seems to be a very direct player whose first thought is to get the ball forward and start an attack which suits our style of play. He's also a physical presence which is something we have lacked in midfield (hopefully ends all Diame rumors).
How much we will see of him depends on other things such as our formation and if we play with one or two strikers etc. I see him as a Gerrard replacement and I can see him getting game time when Gerrard is rested. Peace

Nah that was the wrong clip to 'wow' us. I'm sure BR will get the best of him though.

Earl, he was filling in at left back that game despite being a CM and being right footed. Hardly fair to judge him on that game (obviously you should never judge the quality of a player on just 90 mins).

The clip was not that bad. Remember he is a raw 20 year old and will make mistakes in games. Even the best players mistime a few passes or have a poor first touch at times. Just ask Gerrard.

It was an honest clip instead of these highlights reels that give false impressions.
It shows he has qualities, some decent passing, tackling and driving runs in there, but inevitably at 20 it shows he gives the ball away and chooses the wrong decision at times.

Certainly looks like he'll handle the physicality of English football well from the OP's clip

Good engine. Decent pace, like to move the ball forward with pace as often as possible, not bad!
As for hux touch, well this us the leaguewere you need a good first touch as it's so fast, he will need to improve but BR knows how to improve players. Decent signing Nd probably spells the end for Lucas!

How about we reserve judgement till he's kicked a ball for us!

I think he had a solid game away to UTD, I think they lost heavily if I remember but he definitely stood out and at 19 years old.
Must be on youtube somewhere give it a watch, will give you a better idea of what hes about then the game vs augsburg or whoever in this clip.
